Teacher  - intaking year 0

Due to roll growth we are looking for an intaking new entrant teacher. 

Commencing early Term 4 2023, or by negotiation, we are seeking an inspiring, innovative, and child-centred teacher to teach in our collaborative and culturally sustaining school.

The position is with a Year 0 Intaking class. We anticipate the class will grow to around 12 - 15 students throughout the term.

Our school is a U5 school with a roll of 400 set in park-like grounds 5 minutes from Cambridge and 15 minutes from Hamilton.

The teacher we are looking for will be able to:

  • Build effective, warm and culturally responsive learning relationships with learners, their whānau and staff
  • Engage learners through relevant, innovative and high quality classroom management
  • Use effective formative assessment strategies to plan and deliver programmes that meet the needs of all learners
  • Work collegially and collaboratively.

An understanding of, and ability to teach, literacy with a scope and sequence would be an advantage and we can provide high quality professional learning opportunities in this area.

Term 4 (2023) an Term 1 (2024) - Permanent Positions

Commencing term 4, 2023 or term 1, 2024, we are seeking an inspiring, innovative, and child-centred teacher to teach in our collaborative and culturally sustaining school.

The 2023 position is starting with a Y1–2 class.

2024 positions are year level by negotiation.

Either position may be 0.8 for the right candidate.
