Goodwood is a rural contributing primary school nestled amongst mature oak trees in the Fencourt area. The park-like grounds include: 13 classrooms, library, ancillary rooms, large adventure playground, swimming pool, tennis court and amphitheatre. This wide range of excellent facilities, along with the Fencourt Hall are always available for community use.

The school is situated in a predominantly dairy area, but in recent times many farms have been subdivided and diversified giving the district a varied income and outlook. Parents are derived from varying occupations which gives the school a broad base to draw on.
